Had to take a break thanks to a new job and getting used to a new schedule, but we're back with more WRC wallpapers! This time from the all-tarmac event, Rally Germany. Mmmmmm, tarmac cars.

Paging McMike. We need a five minute photoshop that involves Wert. You know what to do.

I wonder how this Tornado came to grief here.

In America, instead of getting this we get Nascar and Florida

I assumed the pilots ejected, but when I got to a later picture the canopies are still intact so it appears to have been a controlled landing. It doesn't appear too damaged, but since the wings are still on it probably wasn't on a trailer being trucked. Either way I am also curious as to how it got here.

It would be interesting to know where this is, if it's adjacent to an airfield. It's been stripped, but it's odd they would have left the carcass there.

Right. It seems like it would be easier to get it on a truck and strip it at a maintenance facility rather than while its sitting in the dirt in a field.

It's almost certainly somewhere along this stage (Panzerplatte Lang, run on a military base). Google map link to the area here

Glad to see a pic of Leo. He has had a rough year. Maybe Dusty needs to be his co-driver :)
